TradingView + trading journal

Trade in TradingView. Review with FTJ.

Using TradingView with an eligible cTrader-backed broker account? Forgalis TradingJournal can import the execution history available from that account, so you can review your trades with screenshots, notes and performance data on Windows.

Read-only cTrader history import. No direct TradingView connection or unattended sync.

01 / Check your setup

Can FTJ read your broker history?

What matters is the account behind TradingView, not the charting platform alone.

The cTrader route

TradingView with an eligible cTrader-backed broker account

If your broker connects TradingView to a cTrader-backed account and that same account can be authorised in FTJ, you can retrieve the available cTrader history using FTJ's existing import workflow.

Check before you import Confirm the exact broker account and currency in cTrader. TradingView account eligibility varies by broker, region and account type.

02 / Import your executions

Four steps from broker history to journal.

You choose when to fetch and which records to import. FTJ does not place, modify or close trades.

  1. 01

    Connect your broker in TradingView

Use TradingView's broker Trading Panel and follow the broker's instructions for an eligible account.

  2. 02

    Confirm the account in cTrader

Check that the same underlying broker account is accessible and has the history you want to review.

  3. 03

    Link cTrader to FTJ

Open Brokers in FTJ, authorise read-only cTrader access and link the correct journal account.

  4. 04

    Preview, import and review

Compare prices, size, time and costs before importing selected executions. Re-fetch to see what is new.

03 / Make the history useful

The broker records what happened. You record why.

Executed trades provide the facts. The journal is where you connect those facts to your decisions, setups and lessons.

Your notes, screenshots and imported records stay in the local FTJ journal on your computer.

Common questions

Know the boundaries before you start.

Does FTJ connect directly to TradingView?

No. FTJ fetches authorised history from supported broker platforms such as cTrader. TradingView itself is not an FTJ data connection.

Will it import TradingView drawings or scripts?

No. Broker history contains executions, not Pine scripts, chart annotations or your trade plan. Add permitted screenshots and notes separately.

Why is my TradingView order history empty?

TradingView's panel may not show older broker orders even when cTrader has history. Check the underlying account in cTrader and FTJ's preview.
