1. Who we are

Forgalis AB is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

This policy applies when you visit forgalis.com or contact us. Forgalis TradingJournal has a separate product privacy policy.

2. Website visits and server logs

Our hosting environment creates technical server logs when the website is requested. These logs may contain:

• IP address;
• date and time;
• requested page and response status;
• referring page; and
• browser, operating-system and other technical request information.

We use this information to deliver the website, maintain security, prevent abuse, investigate errors and understand basic traffic through AWStats. We do not use server logs to create advertising profiles.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Archived raw access logs are retained for 30 days. AWStats-generated reports may remain available for longer within the hosting environment and are used only for website security, troubleshooting and basic traffic statistics.

3. Contacting Forgalis

You can contact us at contact@forgalis.com. When you do, we receive your email address, message and any other information you choose to provide.

Our hosting and email provider processes the message so that it can be delivered to and stored in the Forgalis mailbox.

We use the information to answer your enquiry, provide support, take requested steps before a possible contract or manage an existing customer relationship.

The legal basis is:

• Article 6(1)(b) GDPR when the enquiry concerns a contract or steps requested before entering into one; or
• Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries and support, based on our legitimate interest in communicating with users and customers.

Messages are kept only for as long as needed to answer the enquiry, provide follow-up support, manage contractual obligations, disputes or legal claims and meet applicable legal obligations.

Providing information is voluntary, but we may be unable to answer or investigate an enquiry without enough relevant detail.

4. Cookies and external content

Forgalis does not use advertising pixels or browser-based behavioural analytics on the website and does not set analytics or advertising cookies.

YouTube tutorials

Tutorial watch pages contain an embedded YouTube player using YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. The player does not autoplay. Because the player is embedded directly in the page, your browser may connect to YouTube when a tutorial watch page loads. YouTube receives normal technical connection information, such as your IP address, browser information and the page from which the player was loaded, and may use cookies or similar technologies under Google's policies.

We use the embedded player to provide the tutorial content directly on the relevant watch page. The legal basis for personal-data processing by Forgalis in connection with this embedded content is our legitimate interest in providing product documentation and tutorials under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

External links

Links to Microsoft Store, Freemius and other external websites open services operated by those providers. They receive information according to their own privacy policies when you choose to open or use their services.

5. Service providers and international transfers

We use service providers where needed to host the website, deliver email and provide embedded YouTube tutorial content. They receive only the information needed to provide their service.

Some providers may process information outside Sweden or the EU/EEA. Where required, international transfers are protected by an applicable legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

You may contact Forgalis for more information about safeguards that apply to personal data for which Forgalis is responsible.

6. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

• access personal data processed by Forgalis and receive a copy;
