Forgalis TradingJournal 1.1.24 focuses on two areas that matter in everyday review: faster performance and deeper Reports.

Significantly improved performance

FTJ is now faster and more responsive across key parts of the application. The improvements are especially noticeable when working with larger journals, broker imports and other data-heavy workflows.

  • Significantly improved performance and responsiveness across key parts of FTJ.
  • Faster, more responsive broker import workflows across cTrader, MT4 and MT5.
  • Optimized handling of large journals and data-heavy operations.
  • Reduced unnecessary processing during common workflows and re-imports.

The performance work was validated with large stress journals, including a test journal of roughly 35,000 trades. Actual performance still depends on hardware, journal size, broker history and environment.

Expanded Reports

Reports has grown into a much deeper review workspace. New and improved analysis includes:

  • Drawdown & Recovery for visualizing realised performance declines and recoveries.
  • Stability, including Positive Active Days and current recovery context.
  • Performance Quality, a transparent summary built from available performance components rather than a hidden black-box score.
  • Entry Time Performance with a weekday-by-hour heatmap.
  • Tagged Sessions based on the sessions recorded on your trades.
  • Symbol Performance for comparing results across instruments.
  • Long vs Short for direction-level comparison.
  • Improved Exit Reason Performance, report layout and insight readability.

The goal is practical review rather than adding charts for their own sake: identify where drawdowns come from, when performance is strongest or weakest, which instruments contribute most and whether different parts of your process are producing consistent results.

Other improvements

The bundled in-app manual and troubleshooting guidance have been refreshed, including clearer cTrader Demo/Live TCP connectivity checks for connection failures.

Version 1.1.24 also makes the Large Journal Performance Test available in both Demo and Full Access under Settings > Test Tools. It generates synthetic test data so traders can evaluate FTJ with a much larger journal without importing or manually creating thousands of real trades. Normal Demo trade creation and editing restrictions remain unchanged.

FTJ remains local-first: your journal database stays on your Windows PC, while the app continues to focus on fast review, clear analytics and practical post-trade analysis.
