Pair-Specific Forex Tool
AUD/USD Pip Calculator
Calculate the value of one pip and the total pip value for AUD/USD. The calculator opens with AUD/USD selected and keeps lot size, lot type, pips, account currency and conversion rate editable.
Lot size is multiplied by the selected lot type.
No conversion needed: USD is the quote currency and your account currency.
For non-quote account currencies, enter the conversion rate you want to use, or use the optional latest indicative FX rate. Uses latest indicative FX rates. Broker/platform prices may differ.
AUD/USD pip value example
AUD/USD is quoted in USD. For a USD account, 1 standard lot is normally 10 USD per pip because 100,000 units x 0.0001 = 10 USD.
If you enter 15 pips, the total value is 10 USD x 15 = 150 USD before costs.
How this calculation works
For AUD/USD, USD is the quote currency and the typical pip size is 0.0001. Position units = lot size x lot type units. Pip value in quote currency = position units x pip size.
If your account currency is not USD, the calculator uses the conversion rate and direction you enter. Total value = pip value per pip x number of pips.
