AUD/JPY is quoted in JPY, and JPY quote pairs typically use a pip size of 0.01. For 1 standard lot, 100,000 units x 0.01 = 1,000 JPY per pip.

AUD/JPY is a cross pair, so conversion may be needed if your account currency differs from the quote currency. If you enter 20 pips, the quote-currency total is 1,000 JPY x 20 = 20,000 JPY before costs.

How this calculation works

For AUD/JPY, JPY is the quote currency and the typical pip size is 0.01. Position units = lot size x lot type units. Pip value in quote currency = position units x pip size.
