EUR/GBP pip value example

EUR/GBP is quoted in GBP. For a GBP account, 1 standard lot is 10 GBP per pip because 100,000 units x 0.0001 = 10 GBP.

EUR/GBP is a cross pair, so conversion may be needed if your account currency differs from the quote currency. If you enter 20 pips, the quote-currency total is 10 GBP x 20 = 200 GBP before costs.

How this calculation works

For EUR/GBP, GBP is the quote currency and the typical pip size is 0.0001. Position units = lot size x lot type units. Pip value in quote currency = position units x pip size.

If your account currency is not GBP, the calculator uses the conversion rate and direction you enter. Total value = pip value per pip x number of pips.
